The study area is located in the Beaver River and Stewart River watersheds in central Yukon. The area is home for many large mammals, including moose, grizzly bears, wolves and caribou. The ACME lab is currently using camera trap data to determine the cumulative effects of anthropogenic landscape change on mammal communities. Mining activity and wildfires are the main disturbances in the area.
