The Richardson Backcountry is a beautiful landscape: a Tom Thompson painting come to life. It is unusual in that is has seen very little disturbance from resource extraction, and so serves as one of our Low Disturbance boreal landscapes. A mosaic of stunted black spruce, bogs, and fens, it is truly a brilliant northern wonder.
